AESTHETIC BY PHILOSOPHY´S THEORIES OF COMMUNICATION CULTURE MEMORY AND TRANSCENDENCE THROUGH GERHARD RICHTER ARTS” AURA AND RUIN OF THE GERMAN 20TH CENTURY
“Painting is the creation of an analogy with the unpleasant and the incomprehensible, which are thus transformed and thus made available”.
Gerhard Richter
The book Tribute to Gerhard Richter develops an analysis of some works of art from the acclaimed painter, emphasizing the “Aura and Ruin” in 20th century Germany, highlighting the legacies of German Idealism, Historical Marxism and Existentialism in the thought of the founding philosophers of the Aesthetic Theories of Modernity and mainly in the thought of Walter Benjamin, member of the Frankfurt School, in the perspective of discussing the Work of art as a theoretical object in a moment of conceptual resizing, whose passage from “Cult to “Exhibition Value” reconsiders Culture and Communication through a new epistemological perspective, bringing to light the value changes that occurred in the visual and language of the arts as a narrative structure and representation of reality in the transition from Modernity to Postmodernity.
